Letter to the scmp from the AFCD in the SCMp from the 8th Sept 2007, highlights their reasons for allowing continued fishing in Marine Parks.
Living Seas Hong Kong believes that whilst the aims above are understandable to a degree, the aim is short sighted in that damage to the marine environment continues, whilst a more laudable policy that enabled fish populations to recover would ensure longer term prosperity for fishing communities and of course for the Marine organisms we aim to protect.
