The plans encompass a large luxury property development on the south side of Lamma island, right next to the only remaining green nesting beach in Hong Kong. |

The culprit, continuous trawling 東平洲海底垃圾清理 Underwater cleanup at Tung Ping Chau五月二十二日星期日，在「勃勃海洋」香港區成員Janet Summer、Jeffrey Lee及Yann Chambrier的帶領下，一群來自「沉樂會」(沉樂會 @ Submersion DIVERsion) 的熱心潛水員，在東平洲海岸公園進行了一次海底清潔活動。 雖然當天天氣惡劣，二十五位潛水員仍然清理了大量膠袋、廢棄魚網、空罐及其他垃圾。這些廢物不但破壞海底景色，而且會極度損害海岸公園的海洋環境。他們的行動值得喝釆。 所有參與活動的人度過了很有意義的一天。他們熱切期待，下次再有機會為清潔香港重要的海域作出貢獻。 On Sunday the 22nd May, Living Seas Hong Kong members Janet Summer, Jeffrey Lee and Yann Chambrier, led a group of keen divers from 沉樂會 Read more禁止拖網捕魚：常識理性的勝利 Trawling ban : a victory for common sense我們成功了。禁止拖網捕魚法案已在立法會獲得通過。由於沒有任何議員提出反對，意味着五月十八日的限期可以順利渡過。香港的保育團體、學術界、公眾，以及不少漁業團體團結一致，對處於困境的香港海洋環境及捕魚業表示支持。 為此，「勃勃海洋」同仁謹向有關團體和人士致以衷心感謝。這實在值得開香檳慶祝！ 下一步是等待立法會財務委員會的撥款批准。敬請留意本網頁的最新訊息。 We have been successful; the trawling ban has made it through Legco.
