禁止拖網捕魚：常識理性的勝利 Trawling ban : a victory for common sense

我們成功了。禁止拖網捕魚法案已在立法會獲得通過。由於沒有任何議員提出反對，意味着五月十八日的限期可以順利渡過。香港的保育團體、學術界、公眾，以及不少漁業團體團結一致，對處於困境的香港海洋環境及捕魚業表示支持。

為此，「勃勃海洋」同仁謹向有關團體和人士致以衷心感謝。這實在值得開香檳慶祝！

We have been successful; the trawling ban has made it through Legco.  No objections from any of the legislators meant that the deadline of the 18th May passed without incident.   A real victory for all involved.  The green groups, academics, the wider Hong Kong public and even many fisheries groups rallied around to show their support for Hong Kong’s beleaguered marine environment and for the fishing community.
