This bill is intending to really improve the poor protections inplace with the existing legislation, Living Seas Hong Kong is broadly supportive of the measures to be introduced, which include
該條例的目的，是改善現行立法中有關漁業保護的不足之處。「勃勃海洋」全力支持條例計劃實行的各項措施，包括：
- The ability to setup Fisheries protected areas where fishing effort could be restricted or even stopped completely.
設立漁業保護區，區內可限制或完全禁止捕魚。 - Licensing of boats allowed to commercially fish in Hong Kong waters.
為於本港海域進行商業捕魚的漁船頒發許可證。 - Stopping illegal fishing from non local fishing boats
禁止非本地漁船進行非法捕魚活動。
These are very positive moves. We spoke at the Legco Bill committee meeting on the 20th January in support of these efforts but with some suggestions for future changes and improvements.
這些都是非常正面的建議。在1月20日舉行的條例草案委員會會議上，我們表達了對這些建議的支持，並就未來的轉變及相應的改善方法提出了意見。
