Internationally there are large areas of ocean that are protected in a variety of ways.  This section acts as an introduction to some of the key marine protected areas internationally and how they relate to the situation in Hong Kong.

Marine conservation is increasingly a huge effort globally.  Increasing numbers of groups are actively campaigning against a number of key issues.  This section aims to introduce these international efforts and how they relate to marine conservation issues in Hong Kong.
